Glossary
Weed Control Fabric
Permeable fabric that blocks light to weeds while allowing air and water through.
Weed control fabric is a material (here 105 g/m²) installed over clean soil to prevent grass from germinating due to lack of light, without creating a waterproof pool.
What it does and does not do
Reduces weeding and evaporation. Does not eliminate established rhizomes unless cleaned beforehand. It is not artificial grass or construction tarpaulin.
Formats
Widths of 1, 2, and 3 m; lengths from 5 to 100 m. Fewer joints mean less grass at the seams. It is covered with gravel or bark to last longer.
What we recommend at Control Garden
Rolls of 105 g/m² fabric tailored to your flowerbed. Choose the width that avoids a puzzle of overlaps.
