Garlic Cultivation

Garlic is planted in cold and requires little watering. Gel and nitrogen fertilizer spoil it.

One clove in October, one head in June. Garlic prefers loose soil, sunlight, and should not be treated like a tomato.

Planting

Clove with skin, point up, 3-4 cm. Spacing 10-15 cm. Deep, drained pot, or raised bed with cut mesh to avoid weeding.

Rainwater is usually sufficient in winter. In spring, spaced watering. For watering 2-3 weeks before harvest. No hydrogel.

When the leaves dry halfway. Dry in a ventilated shade. Do not wash the heads with a hose.

Weed control mesh in the garlic and draining substrate. Garlic is the crop that requires the least products and the most soil order.

Supermarket garlic?

Sometimes treated to prevent sprouting. Better to use a planting clove or organic garlic that is already sprouting.

Indoors?

Little light = weak leaf. Terrace or garden.

Rusts and rots?

Excess water and nitrogen. Drain and do not overcrowd.
