Rotten Strawberry
The fruit needs ventilation. Use mesh, water at the base, and harvest every two days.
The gray, fuzzy strawberry is botrytis. The brown one underneath is due to contact with mud. Both can be prevented by lifting the fruit.
Causes
Moisture on the fruit, rain, sprinkler irrigation, dense foliage, snails that open the door.
Prevention
Water at the base, trimming of mesh or straw, remove bad fruits immediately, air circulation between plants, fewer runners.
