Overwatering in Pots
Overwatering kills more plants than August vacations.
Watering a little every day keeps the root zone in anaerobiosis. The tips die, the plant asks for water (because it has no roots), and you water more.
Symptoms
Soft leaves, yellowing, moss, gnats, rotten egg smell, cold substrate.
Rescue
Empty the saucer, drill holes, remove the root ball, wrap in newspaper for 24 hours, mix in perlite, water less. If it's rotten, trim the black root.
