Pepper (plant)

Capsicum annuum on terrace and garden: heat, support, and aphids on tender shoots.

1 min read

The pepper is a plant of sun and patience. Until the soil warms up, it seems dormant; then it suddenly fruits and needs support.

Care

Direct sunlight 6-8 hours, pot size 18-25 L, water when the top 3 cm dry out, never let the saucer fill. Pinch only if it becomes a stick without branches.

Problems

Yellow leaves due to overwatering, sunspots on fruit, aphids and thrips on flowers. Wrinkled fruit is usually due to drought or dry heat.

What we recommend at Control Garden

Large pot and steel support 120-150 cm on transplant day.
