The monstera is neither a cactus nor a water lily. Bright light without midday sun, and water when the coco has lightened in color.

Care

11-18 L, airy mix, stake or stake-support when aerial roots appear, dust on leaves.

Soft and yellow leaves: watering. Dry tips: dry air or salts. Mealybug in axils.

Coco-perlite-clay substrate and a steel stake if it is already climbing. The wooden stick rots in wet substrate.

North window?

Survives, but not ideal. Better east or west with a curtain.

Hydrogel?

Little or none. Coco already retains moisture. Gel indoors is an easy excess.

Soft = cells without turgor. Indoors, usually too much water or not enough light.

Without water drainage, even the most expensive substrate turns into a swamp with yellow leaves.
