How to Eliminate Tomato Aphids
Wet the underside, cut off ant foraging, and repeat in a week.
Tomato aphids start at the bud you were going to pinch. An early soap application prevents viruses and honeydew in the cluster.
Steps
- Inspect tips and undersides.
- Potassium soap at sunset, wetting the colony.
- Ant gel at the base and stakes if there is a trace.
- Repeat every 5-7 days.
- Lower nitrogen in grass.
What Not to Do
Do not use dish soap. Do not spray at 2 PM in August. Do not swat ants and leave the aphids.
