Geranium
The classic balcony plant. Sun, drainage, and don't drown the saucer every evening.
The geranium forgives missed watering better than being waterlogged. In an August attic, a bit of hydrogel mixed in helps; a full saucer does not.
Care
Sun, pot 5-11 L, remove spent flowers, water when the soil pulls away from the wall.
Problems
Geranium caterpillar or butterfly (triangular leaves, hollow stems). Rust in humid conditions.
