Seedling Tray
Container and technique for germinating with moisture control and separated roots.
A seedling tray is a mini nursery: more heat, more control, and less seed waste than sowing randomly in the bed.
Types
Dry cell (rigid plastic): each plant has its own home. Wet (pressed peat/coconut): retains more moisture. Tupperware without holes: the shortest path to mold.
When to transplant
When the root ball comes out whole and true leaves appear. The seedling tray is not a final pot for a tomato.

Seedling trays in packs. Combine them with fine coconut and perlite, not with park soil.
