Potassium Soap for Soft Pests

The go-to solution for the edible garden when pests can still be wet.

One liter goes a long way. It is not systemic: it's the scientific damp cloth against soft bugs.

Covers

Aphids, whiteflies, young mealybugs, some spider mites if wet. Does not cover caterpillars inside tomatoes or ant queens.

Label, sunset, underside, repeat. First resource, not the only one in an overflowing greenhouse.

Agricultural potassium soap 1 L. Have it before the sprout curls, not after photographing the pest for a week.

Is it suitable for everything?

For soft-bodied pests on contact. Ants and cockroaches: specific gels.

Can I mix it with gel?

Not in the same solution. Gel in the soil, soap on the leaf.

Contact insecticide based on potassium salts of fatty acids. Aphids, whiteflies, and young mealybugs.

Potassium soap works by contact. Wet the underside well and avoid burning in full sun.

Contact the insect and cut off the grazing.

The white cloud when moving the leaf is the adult. The nymphs on the underside are the real problem.
